- Welder ($62,000); There are two types of Welders. The rig welders are stationaried permenently on one rig and taking care of small everyday repairs of metalwork. Now, these guys are always busy, they move from rig to rig and help of when there are some big projects and the welders lack behind. They don't stay at one place for more than a few days at a time..
